Throw your garbage...in a garbage bin...dammit

So it really bugs me when people just litter, and I mean not just toss candy wrappers on the floor. I'm talking about pop cans, and bigger stuff. The other day I was walking back home down the 5-min path and the Student Centre was giving out free cotton candy on white paper cones.
This one big guy was in front of me and was listing to his I-pod and in front of me, just tossed the paper cone on the walkway, when 2 feet away there was a garbage bin. Now if you haven’t been on my campus...let me describe it. It is Beee-uuu-ti-FUL. Our campus is surrounded by lush greenery and wild life too.

So it really ticks me off when people are so ignorant and are too lazy to take the extra two seconds to toss their garbage in the proper places. I mean, give me a break, the university has placed bins everywhere! So something had to be done. This was the last straw. I was sick of seeing people litter and me not doing anything about it. Now this guy was huge, but I went straight up to him, picked up the cone, tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Next time throw out your damn garbage in the bin...especially when it's right next to you!" I then threw it in the garbage and he just shrugged his shoulders. I know he didn't really care, but at least I said something.

So anyway, yesterday as I was waiting for the shuttle bus at 7am, a Mississauga Transit bus stopped in front of Kanef for a couple of minutes. There was this one "gansta" sitting in then back eating a fruit cup. He actually had the nerve to open the window and toss out the top part of the can out the window. I was so mad, but at the same time, the guy was freaking scary looking. I wanted to give him a dirty look, but he was just one of those dudes dressed in total "army-gangsta" clothing, I was scared. There was this guy waiting at the bus stop with me, who just looked at me and nodded his head. 5 mins later, the guy on the bus, finished his fruit cup and then threw his whole cup out the window. I was outraged. I was trying so hard to hold in my anger, but I looked at him and he just stared back. But I held it in. Now-a-days, seriously, I don't wanna mess with certain people. The last thing I want is a gun pulled through my head.

The guy beside me however, couldn't take it. He actually went up to the bus, picked up the tin can and the top, tossed it in the garbage and straight up said, "You're so ignorant!" There's a garbage right there!" I honestly thought the guy on the bus was gonna do something...I was scared. But anyway, luckily nothing came out of it. I don't know why I'm rambling about this, but as I was walking downtown I counted every garbage bin, and specific recycling bins for cans, paper and bottles available on every corner and every few meters. I lost count...because there was SO many!

So people...frigg...hold your rubbish for an extra few seconds...coz there's bound to be a trash bin coming your way.

Peas. That's my rant for the day.
