You're in Ninz Space

Last night was the 2006 CCIT Gala.

I have to admit that last year; I had such an AMAZING time that this year I had real high expectations and was a little disappointed. I mean, I had a great time this year, the food was good, music was good, and the committee did a great job...but it just felt different. After doing some thinking I realized what it was. Last year's original CCIT crew was missing. Although some of them showed up for a little while (Jay, Peter, Kien, Joyce, Ariella) it was different. Everyone was seated far away and it just wasn't the same. This year there was so many new people...newer people...people I hadn't even seen before. But I guess that's just what happens when you graduate and move on. All in all, it was a fab night. I got to hang out with Andi and Div at my place before leaving for the Gala, and I had a very handsome date *wink who danced the night away with me.

One regret of the evening is that I wish I reserved seats ahead of time. I missed all my old CCIT buddies and I didn't get a chance to catch up with anyone :( Worst of all, I didn't even get a chance to be with Carol. The next thing I knew...everyone left pretty early. Last night really hit home that I'm leaving this place (UTM) for good. I mean, obviously I'll still visit...but things will never be the same.

It's been an amazing four years.
