EllisDon...you party animal you...
So ever since I gave in my resignation...my company has been celebrating a lot. Ok, so they aren't celebrating my leaving, but heck...I sure am going to miss all the parties at this place. And mind you, they sure know how to party...and order food.Yesterday, Michael took the marketing team to TEN restaurant in Port Credit. It was a funky place with terrific food. I thought the portions were small, but you felt good after your meal. The team wished me all the best over a bottle of red wine, and a delicious feast.
But, by the time we got back to the office, everyone was called down for the Ground Breaking party on the 7th floor. How could I have forgotten? The Ground Breaking Ceremony for our Office Renovations. I made the INVITES!!! So there it was:
Booze, catered food and sledge hammers for the staff...to break down walls that is.
It was fun. Heather handed me her Canon SLR and I was photographer for the afternoon.
All in all, it's been a busy week. It's my last week! The annual management meeting starts tomorrow and runs all day Saturday. I had a series of meetings today as I'm working on presentations for Marketing, Client First and the Mentorship Committee. And for some reason everyone assumed I was going to be in King City on Sat, presenting to senior Management.
Um...nope. Remember, I quit? But, granted if I was still working at ED, I would have loved to have presented. I put in a lot of work into the two presentations and am quite proud of them.
Michael absolutely loves the design I created for his slides.
Donna showed me her slide-show today of our (Marketing) year in review. 95% of the stuff were all my designs I created over the past five months. It was great to see all of the ads I had created. I also found out today that my ad for the Calagry Children's Hospital was finnaly in the Herald. I'm going to receive my copy tomorrow.
Man...they really are going to miss me. Hehe.
