LAST DAY AT ED…then vacation for a week!

I went in today for my exit interview and to pretty much hand over all the stuff I’ve been working on for the past 5 months. My exit interview with HR was pretty straight forward: “What were some of the challenges you faced in your position?”
“How was management?”
“What did you think of your pay? Benefits?”
“What is your new position offering you?”
Etc…

Basically it's a way for them to get feedback in order to improve the position/company. I think It’s a pretty neat thing to do for the company. Maybe that’s why EllisDon is the 2nd best managed company to work for in Canada?

So I said my goodbyes. My entire office pretty much found out by 4pm. I was surprised by the sadness I saw on some of the faces. I really didn’t want my "leaving" to be a big deal, so I didn’t tell anyone. Marketing kept it on the down-low so really, it came as a shock to many as I said my farewell. I’ll still be keeping in touch and for sure will be meeting up with Donna and Heather regularly. So…I’m off till next week. Officially temporarily unemployed to be exact. I’m looking forward to the new job…but at the same time…even more excited to lay back and chillax all week. Woot!

Igor gave me a tutorial on his D70 tonight. I’m borrowing it for a few days and will be taking pics over the week. Stay tuned.
